High Intellectual Performance Groups (GAR ®)

The High Intellectual Performance Groups (GAR in its Spanish acronym) project began in January 2009 in MUSKIZ, in the Basque province of Bizkaia.

We would like to sincerely thank MUSKIZ TOWN COUNCIL which took on a project involving considerable innovative skills, with enthusiasm and celerity; the municipal technical officers and elected representatives showing great courage in the face of uncertainty.

We would equally like to express our recognition for the PETRONOR company, a model of a business with social responsibility and which accepted the challenge of collaborating in developing the creativity and intellectual skills of the children in their locality, as a commitment to the future in the search for excellence.

Thanks to these Municipal School & Training CENTRES and to BERRITZEGUNE, which provides advice on and encouragement to participation in the GAR.

Thanks to the MOTHERS and FATHERS, for the enormous effort of organising family life for so that one or other of their children could make up the nucleus of a GAR; for always being actively willing to help and participate and  permanently expressing their support.

Thanks especially to THE COMPONENTS OF EACH GAR THAT IS UP AND RUNNING; to all and each one of those children who attend weekly with evermore enthusiasm, bright eyes, a ready smile and untiring motivation, full of determination to be involved in the procedures and knowledge acquisition; driving us to improve the GAR on a daily basis, so that it grows and develops with them.
